Chickens, chickens, chickens … this is an upcycle which has been decoupaged with the sweetest chooks, even on its bottom!! The lid has been gilded, and has a gorgeous bead, leaf and string embellishment (not to be confused with a puller/opener).

Sealed, decoupaged, then sealed all over with varnish and a spray of acrylic sealer, it’s 160mm in diameter and approx 65mm deep.
The original container looked to be some type of ply, and it has been cleaned, dried, and the inside has been sealed with a coat of Feast Watson food-safe oil. This is not really a food storage container though and suggest it’s a decorative but functional piece – a great place for your keys, receipts, loose change … or other smallish items.
