Description

What the heck?!

You’ve probably seen them, but just didn’t know they had a name!!

volvelle or wheel chart is a type of slide chart, a paper construction with rotating parts. They can be quite complex, but for today, we’ll be keeping it simpler and making a really cool card!

And as for an origami fortune teller, it’s something I made when I was in school – yup, it was a thing!! I have no idea if it still is, but they’re fun to make, so we’ll get creative with some paper and pencils.

These are great activities to occupy the kids for an hour or two during the school holidays and what we make could be used to make a special card for the dad in their lives for Father’s Day (coming up on the first day of spring … 1 September).

All materials provided, and quite possibly a snack! You do need to register so I can make sure I’ve got enough paper and glue!! This activity is totally suitable for all ages – glue is involved, but no cutting implements!
